The Saturday slate for consumption and gamblin’
Every Wednesday, Rock M Nation will post game times and channels for the week’s SEC football schedule, including, of course, your Missouri Tigers. We will also include betting lines for the SEC slate as well as some other lines of interest. DISCLAIMER: Rock M Nation is not an online gambling operator, nor a gambling site of any kind. Well… last week sucked plain and simple. We went 0-3, and now we sit at just 10-9-2 on the season with our picks. We can’t get worse this week, right?
Week 8
Missouri is on a bye week which is just great. There’s no way they can lose. You can get out and do the things that you’d like to do on a Saturday that Missouri football consumption doesn’t let you normally do.
Or you can just watch the other games without worrying about wins and losses. That’s also cool.

This Week’s Picks
Oklahoma State +8 @ Iowa State

I’m not a believer in the Cowboys one bit, but one thing I have come to realize is that while this team doesn’t win convincingly, they do win a lot. Beating Texas on the road last week was extremely impressive and being an 8 point underdog in a game that will surely be low-scoring is something I can get behind. Maybe they will lose their first game of the year, but I see this game coming down to the final minutes, so give me the Pokes +8.
LSU +9 @ Ole Miss

I think 9 is just way too many points in this game. Yes, the game being in Oxford will be a tremendous advantage, and we all know what can happen when Ole Miss gets rolling. However, LSU should be booming with confidence after last week, and I like their chances to keep it close. The Rebels will probably win, but I think it will be somewhere in the 3-7 point range, and the Tigers will cover.
Purdue +3 vs Wisconsin

Purdue is a home underdog against a terrible Wisconsin team. Need I say more? I bet the Boilermakers win this one outright and stay hot after last week’s win over Iowa. Wisconsin just hasn’t been good all year, so I feel great about this pick.
