Forney becomes the 10th commit of Missouri’s 2026 class.
For the third consecutive year, Mizzou football earned an Independence Day commitment. In 2023, the Tigers earned commitments from wide receiver James Madison II and cornerback Cameron Keys. In 2024, the team earned a commitment from wide receiver Jayvan Boggs.
Three-star linebacker Keenan Harris — who was the lone defensive player in the class before Forney’s pledge — committed to Missouri on May 23rd, and it wasn’t until the 4th of July that the team added another defensive player.
Three-star safety Tony Forney from Marietta, Georgia, announced his commitment to Mizzou per Eli Hoff.

Forney and Combay showed dominance during their junior seasons at Kell. Forney showed that he can play close to the line and deep. His ability to shed tackles and get to the ball was obvious on his Hudl. It will be interesting to see how he develops during his senior season.
