Never say never with the transfer portal. But it’s starting to look like we have clarity on next year’s Mizzou Hoops roster.
With the offseason in full swing for college hoops, Mizzou’s staff has been on the hunt for pieces to supplement what should be a strong team in the 2025-2026 season season. Without adding the “should” caveat that’s appropriate for all roster-building exercises these days: Mark Mitchell is back. Ant Robinson is back. That duo would be enough to guarantee a level of success, and that’s before you consider the development of Trent Pierce, Annor Boateng, Trent Burns and a host of other young pieces the staff has prioritized. Unless things go awry, Mizzou Basketball should be gearing up for another March run.
But there’s a lot of production to replace, and the staff — minus Charlton Young, now, bye CY! — has been active in mining the portal. Thus far, four names have been signed up for a season in black and gold:
- Jevon Porter
- Sebastian Mack
- Luke Northweather
- Shawn Phillips, Jr.
There might be more, but there also might not be. As of right now, this is the class the staff has signed up. So we put it to you: How would you grade Dennis Gates and Co.’s work in the transfer portal this offseason?
