Reacts: Mizzou fans want more defensive line recruits

The Spirit of D-Line Zou is still strong amongst Tiger fans.

Recruiting is heating up around Columbia, with Eli Drinkwitz and staff adding more than a recruit per week since the middle of May. That being said, there’s still quite a bit of work to do: Mizzou’s class currently ranks 15th out of 16 SEC teams and has the second fewest commitments in the conference. There’s plenty of room for guys to join the upward trajectory of Tiger football.

We asked you, the fans, earlier this week where you want the staff to focus the rest of their efforts in the 2026 class, and you answered pretty clearly.

It would seem Mizzou’s reputation as a developer of NFL defensive linemen stands strong. The Tigers are pretty strong on the line this year, especially in the pass-rushing department, but there’s always room to add young, talented depth. Hopefully its on the staff’s big board.

We’ve still got a few months before games start up for the 2026 season… plenty of time for you to put your hard-earned money down on the chance you might get some of it back! Head over to FanDuel to bet on Mizzou Football, Mizzou Hoops, MLB, Free Agency… almost anything sports related you could imagine.
