Ja’Mori Maclin Enters NCAA Transfer Portal

October 21, 2021 by Rock M Nation Leave a Comment

Mizzou Links for Thursday, October 21

Burden in, Maclin out.

With the addition of the five-star and No. 1 ranked wide receiver in Luther Burden, Mizzou’s already strong WR class gets well…..even better. With that being said, there’s bound to be some transfer activity here and there. That’s just the nature of College Football.

Unfortunately, it just happens to be a player from the St. Louis area. Jeremy Maclin’s cousin, Ja’Mori Maclin from Kirkwood High School announced on Wednesday morning that he entered the transfer portal.

Here’s a couple of statements from Maclin himself:

All love Mizzou @RivalsPortal ( My DM’s are open for coaches ) pic.twitter.com/aHwWvIjFRE

— Ja’Mori Maclin (@jaymaclin2x) October 20, 2021

Me leaving has nothing to do with other players coming in. I love to compete!

— Ja’Mori Maclin (@jaymaclin2x) October 20, 2021

And, he’s already been offered by North Texas:

I appreciate the offer @MeanGreenFB pic.twitter.com/WMlule0m77

— Ja’Mori Maclin (@jaymaclin2x) October 21, 2021

We wish Maclin the best and will be rooting for him wherever he lands.

And in NBA action, Michael Porter Jr. and Jordan Clarkson both made their season debuts on Wednesday night.

Good Luck to our Tigers who kick off their 21-22 NBA Season tonight!#ToTheFinishLine pic.twitter.com/si5eyPIbK3

For Utah, the reigning NBA Sixth Man of the Year did Sixth Man of the Year things as Jordan Clarkson scored 18 points off the bench in 26 minutes and was a +4 on the floor in the Jazz’s 107-86 win over the Thunder. JC was 6-11 on FG, including 2-6 from behind the arc. He also had a rebound and an assist.

On ESPN, Michael Porter Jr. was in Denver’s starting lineup and contributed for 15 points, six rebounds, and five assists in 33 minutes and was a +24 on the floor in the Nuggets’ 110-98 win over the Suns. Mike was on fire offensively, shooting 6-10 from the floor, including 2-3 from three. He also had 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals.

Not a bad night to start the season for some former Tigers.

Onto the links. M-I-Z!
