The Morning Commute for Tuesday, June 24
Welcome to the Morning Commute
Today we’re talking about Mizzou Football Recruiting
Mizzou Football started (what could be) a busy recruiting week with the commitment of three-star running back Maxwell Warner on late Monday afternoon — adding to their 2026 class.

The addition of Maxwell Warner brings the 2026 recruiting class to a total of five commitments. Missouri’s class currently ranks 73rd on Rivals and 76th on 247Sports. That sounds underwhelming compared to previous years under Drinkwitz, doesn’t it?
Though, there’s obviously more to come. Josh Matejka’s Monday Morning Commute noted that three-star ATH Javonte Smith will be announcing his college decision today at noon — which could be down to Mizzou or Arkansas.
There’s also one more to watch today.
Khaliefy Canty, a three-star offensive lineman from Detroit, Michigan is set to announce his decision.

From True Deck on Rock M Plus, Canty’s decision should come down to Mizzou or Michigan State — so the Tigers will need to beat out the home state team to win the recruiting battle.
Stay tuned for what could be a busy day on the recruiting front.

“Before we start, it’s probably time to introduce y’all to True Deck, our new Football Recruiting Writer here at Rock M. You’ll see a little bit of him around here at Rock M Nation and even more of him at Rock M+, where he’ll be delivering the scoops and the updates for us. He tracked the official visitors for this past weekend over on the forums, so check it out if you want the word on who was in town.”
We welcome True to the Rock M team.
“According to 247Sports, Warner is ranked as the top running back in the state of Illinois and his commitment comes after he recently visited Missouri on June 6th.”
Curtis Luper must have made a good impression on Maxwell Warner. Good stuff from the staff.
