The Morning Commute for Thursday, July 31
Welcome to the Morning Commute
Today we’re talking about Mizzou Hoops.
The Mizzou Men’s Basketball regular season begins on November 4th at Howard, but you can get an early first look at the Tigers before that.
This has been reported for a while now, but it was officially announced on Wednesday that Mizzou will host Kansas State in an exhibition game on Friday, October 24th — marking the program’s first ever exhibition game against a D1 opponent.

Should be a fun exhibition game, but wouldn’t it be even better if this matchup was scheduled for the regular season? For more basketball discussion, subscribe to our coverage on RockM+.

“The Cayden Green hype train continues as he is added to another watchlist. Green will look to continue growing his draft stock this season and he should be a key part of Mizzou’s offense.
Cayden Green was named to the Outland Trophy Watch List on Tuesday and deservingly so.
“While the Tigers prevailed (barely), Stowers remained a dangerous mismatch. Limiting him in Nashville this year could go a long way toward keeping the Commodores’ passing game in check.”
Mizzou’s defense will need to contain Vandy’s Eli Stowers on the road.

New at RM+ | When Jayden Stone committed to Mizzou, it was easy to draw parallels with past Horizon League imports Marques Warrick and Dree Gholston.
