The Morning Commute for Tuesday, June 3
Welcome to the Morning Commute
Today we’re talking about staff announcements for Mizzou Hoops and Softball.
Tim Fuller is back with the Mizzou Men’s Basketball program. After serving as an assistant coach for the Tigers from 2011-2015, he returns as the program’s first general manager — Mizzou Hoops announced on Monday.

Basketball wasn’t the only program that made a staff hiring on Monday, however. It’s also a Homecoming for former Tiger baseball player and hitting coach Jake Epstein — who has been hired as Mizzou Softball’s assistant coach.
Welcome back to Mid-Missouri, Jake Epstein‼️
Recognized as one of the premier hitting instructors in the nation, Epstein joins our Mizzou staff as an assistant coach.

Matthew Gustafson also had more on this hire.
#Mizzou Softball just took a big swing, hiring well-known hitting instructor and consultant Jake Epstein. He’s a former Mizzou Baseball standout and was the Tigers’ baseball hitting coach back in 2019.@RockMNationhttps://t.co/8bqszf88y6

Yesterday at Rock M and Rock M+
“Look, it’s not like Aaron had far to go. He’s a local after all. And Luke is a Jefferson City guy, so this is also like a homecoming for him.”
Rowe and Northweather have arrived in COMO.
“He has deep ties to all levels of basketball, high school, college and professional, and was dubbed “the ‘most feared’ basketball recruiter you’ve never heard of” in the Yahoo article.”
Welcome back, Tim Fuller!
“Epstein has mainly worked as a hitting trainer and consultant since his playing days, founding the Epstein Online Hitting Academy. He has worked with multiple Major League Baseball organizations as a hitting consultant, including an official consulting role with the Milwaukee Brewers since 2018.”
Epstein sounds like an intriguing hire for Larissa Anderson.
