The Morning Commute for Thursday, June 19
Welcome to the Morning Commute
Today we’re talking more about Mizzou Hoops’ schedule
The Mizzou Men’s Basketball 2025-2026 schedule is out! As per usual, the non-con slate is highlighted by Border War and Braggin’ Rights — but the SEC/ACC Challenge at Notre Dame and the return game at home vs Minnesota are also some intriguing games on the docket.
Though, it’s pretty disappointing to see the rest of the non-con filled with a bunch of other Quad 4 games — which puts a lot of pressure to do enough in the SEC to earn an at-large bid.
However, it marks the first time in program history that Mizzou will host 10 NCAA Tournament teams from the previous season — so there will be plenty of opportunities in league play to get quality wins.

“Calum McAndrew of the Columbia Daily Tribune reported on Monday evening that Mizzou’s home opener is set for November 7th vs in-state opponent SEMO.”
That’s the night before the Texas A&M home football game, so it’ll be a big weekend in COMO.
“The Sooners’ addition of Mateer and play caller Ben Arbuckle will make them a much more formidable opponent on both sides of the ball.”
Mizzou’s matchup with Oklahoma is going to be tough with the addition of Washington State QB transfer John Mateer — especially with it being on the road.
“The Tigers face four high-major teams, all in the top 100 of Bart Torvik’s projections, but also have the usual assortment of buy games against low and mid-major squads.”
Would have liked to see just a couple of more high-major teams on the non-con slate, but it is what it is.
