The Morning Commute for Tuesday, April 15
Welcome to the Morning Commute
Today we’re talking about Jackson Cantwell’s recruitment, and more.
In an unfortunate turn of events in Mizzou Football recruiting, Missouri is out of the running in the Jackson Cantwell sweepstakes.
Cantwell announced his Top 4 schools on Monday, and somewhat surprisingly, the Tigers didn’t make the cut for the in-state product and the 2026 No. 1 recruit in the country. Cantwell will announce his decision on April 30th between Miami, Georgia, Oregon, and Ohio State.
BREAKING: Five-Star Plus+ OT Jackson Cantwell will announce his Commitment on April 30th, he tells me for @on3recruits

Though, as well all know in college football recruiting, nothing truly is finalized until a player signs their NLI. Luther Burden III’s recruitment (who was originally committed to Oklahoma) is certainly an example of that. So, perhaps Mizzou’s pursuit of Cantwell isn’t officially over quite yet.
At least for now, Eli Drinkwitz and the staff will look elsewhere to build their 2026 recruiting class which has started with Anthony Kennedy Jr. and D’Montae Tims. But how big of a blow is losing out on Cantwell? Head on over to RockM+ to discuss.
On a positive recruiting note, Kellie Harper has landed a transfer portal commitment from Cleveland State’s Jordana Reisma (with her new bat signal as well).

“So, Mizzou will be starting the 2025-2026 season with a front court composed of Shawn Phillips and two players who’ve never logged a minute of college basketball?
Cool. Cool cool cool.
Will be interesting to see how the rest of the roster shapes out.
#Mizzou WBB fans sat on pins and needles waiting for a new transfer portal commit. The call was answered by Jordana Reisma, a Cleveland State junior who averaged 14.5 points and 6.9 rebounds.

“She likely will come in as the immediate starting center for a team who desperately needs bigs.”
