The Morning Commute for Tuesday, June 10
Welcome to the Morning Commute
Today we’re talking about football, hoops, and softball.
It was a busy Monday of newsworthy items around Mizzou Athletics which usually isn’t the case during the summer — so let’s get to it.
Starting with football; the recruiting is picking up with the addition of Omaha tight Isaac Jensen.

Jensen becomes the fourth commitment of Missouri’s 2026 class joining Gavin Sidwar, Keenan Harris, and Jabari Brady. For more on Brady, here’s our latest Recruiting Reset.

“Carr, a 6-0 right-handed pitcher from Wildwood, Missouri, led Lafayette High School (25-6-1) to the Class 5 state championship this past season. She tossed a 16-strikeout, eight-inning, no-hitter to propel the Lancers to the title.
Carr finished with a 23-0 record and a 0.24 earned run average, striking out 304 batters against just 26 walks in 144.2 innings pitched over her senior campaign in 2024.”
That seems good!

“We do know, however, that Mizzou is ready to welcome this new world. On Sunday, Athletic Director Laird Veatch sent out a public letter declaring as much:”
Mizzou has the opportunity to capitalize on the House Settlement ruling.
“Any time a blue-chipper signs up for your team, it’s a good thing. The 2026 class has been slow going thus far, but Drinkwitz has maintained a high standard for recruits he brings in. Brady clears that threshold and keeps the offense’s future bright.”
A four-star WR? Yes, please!
“Jensen is a high-three-star recruit who’s been courting many of the top teams in the Power Five, but the big lad will be bringing his prowess to Columbia, Mo. Welcome, Isaac!”
A nice get for Eli Drinkwitz and the staff as Jensen chose Mizzou over Texas A&M, Florida State, and Iowa State.
