Missouri has added a running back to their 2026 recruiting class. Their latest addition in the backfield comes from the Chicago area.

Maxwell Warner, a three-star running back from Whitney Young High School (same high school as Dennis Gates) has committed to Missouri – he announced on ABC 7 Chicago’s sports show. Warner chose the Tigers over Boston College, Illinois, and Miami (FL).

According to 247Sports, Warner is ranked as the top running back in the state of Illinois and his commitment comes after he recently visited Missouri on June 6th. In his junior season at Whitney Young, Warner had 107 carries for 518 yards with eight touchdowns — helping his team to a 12-2 overall (9-0 conference) record that led to a No. 1 seed in the Illinois Class 7A playoffs.
