Even in an underwhelming Saturday in College Football, there were still some upsets in Week 8, and it sets up a loaded Week 9
With the Missouri Tigers on their bye week and no ranked match ups in Week 8, Saturday was a pretty underwhelming slate in College Football, at least on paper. However, there were some upsets — as five ranked teams fell to unranked teams during the week.
The biggest upset was Illinois, who beat then No. 7 Penn State on the road in Happy Valley by the score of 20-18 in….whatever those nine overtimes were.
In the SEC, Ole Miss, Alabama, and Texas A&M were the only three ranked teams to play — with all three taking care of business. Six SEC teams are ranked in this week’s AP Top 25, and three come in ranked in the Top 10 as Ole Miss moved up to No. 10 after their 31-17 win over LSU.
