Should Cardinals’ Chaim Bloom drop his astronomical asking price for Brendan Donovan?

Brendan Donovan remains with the St. Louis Cardinals partially due to Chaim Bloom’s high price tag for a Gold Glove utility player. Would it be prudent for Bloom to lower his asking price?
