ST. LOUIS – After their sold-out, show-stopping debut at Busch Stadium last year, the Savannah Bananas will indeed return to St. Louis next year.
The Savannah Bananas officially announced their 2026 schedule on Thursday evening. Two more games are planned at Busch Stadium next year. Those are scheduled for Friday, August 21 and Saturday, August 22.
Banana Ball began in 2018 as a fan-focused spin on traditional baseball. While the basics are familiar, the Bananas have introduced plenty of twists to keep things unpredictable. Over the years, Banana Ball has evolved into players wearing silly hats, playing on stilts, backflipping while catching fly balls and even choreographed dancing in between plays.
In July, the Bananas drew sold-out crowds of 46,000-plus on back-to-back nights at Busch Stadium, which also featured guest-player appearances from retired St. Louis Cardinals pitchers Adam Wainwright, Lance Lynn and Jason Isringhausen.
Starting next year, the Savannah Bananas are preparing for what they described as an “inaugural season of the Banana Ball Championship League.” It will be coming to 75 stadiums, 45 states and played in front of millions of fans next year.
