Hochman: Ozzie Smith, '82 Cardinals celebrate 40 years since World Series title

The 1982 Cardinals, of course, were the forbearers of what would become known as “Whiteyball.” They stole 200 bases — most in the National League by 35 — and hit 67 homers, the fewest in Major League Baseball.
