The St. Louis Cardinals put together a winning week splitting a four-game series on the road with the Cincinnati Reds and taking two of three from the first place New York Mets at home. They hope to build on this solid week, first staying home at Busch Stadium against the 12-22 Pittsburgh Pirates before travelling to Washington, D.C. to take on the 15-19 Washington Nationals. Unlike last week, the forecast looks pretty clear for these games, with maybe an occasional shower scattered in — nothing like the previous week where the team had not one, but two games postponed and played as part of doubleheaders.
