ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis Cardinals announced a new partnership Monday with sportsbook bet365, making the franchise’s first-ever mobile sports betting partner.
The new sponsorship agreement includes advertising rights on multiple Cardinals’ media platforms, including radio broadcasts, the team’s official website and the Cardinals Insider TV show. Additionally, bet365 signage will be prominently displayed at Busch Stadium and be visible on television broadcasts.
Beyond that, the partnership also includes sponsorship of the team’s starting lineups at Busch Stadium and use of the Cardinals’ team logo in branding efforts. Furthermore, bet365 will secure naming rights to an all-inclusive bridge located on the second level in right-centerfield.
“We are thrilled to welcome bet365 as the club’s official mobile sports betting partner,” said Bill DeWitt III, President of the St. Louis Cardinals via a news release. “This partnership adds a new and exciting element to the fan experience, which can be activated at Busch Stadium or any place that fans watch and follow Cardinals baseball.”
“bet365 is proud to announce our partnership with the St. Louis Cardinals, one of the most storied franchises in Major League Baseball. We are excited to bring a world-class mobile sports betting experience to the Show-Me-State,” said an unnammed bet365 spokesperson via the release.
Missouri voters narrowly approved a constitutional amendment to legalize sports betting in last November’s general election, though the process of fully implementing it into law could extend until this December.
According to the Cardinals news release, bet365 has a mobile sportsbook app that fans can download in anticipation of sports betting legally beginning in Missouri later this year.
