The Cardinals added a shortstop and three more righties.
St. Louis continued its Day 2 draft strategy with three more right-handed pitchers and a glove-first shortstop, reinforcing depth across the board.
- Jalin Flores, SS, Texas (Round 11): A power-hitting infielder with a strong arm, Flores slugged 18 homers in 2024 but saw his average dip in 2025. His glove work at shortstop remains solid, and he could shift to third base long-term. The Cardinals may be betting on his bat speed and defensive versatility to shine through.
- Kaden Echeman, RHP, Northern Kentucky (Round 12): A senior lefty with Cape Cod League experience, Echeman struck out 87 in 56 innings this spring. His strikeout ability give him a chance to develop as a reliever.
- Jake Shelagowski, RHP, Saginaw Valley State (Round 13): A college closer, he set a school record at Saginaw Valley State with 11 saves in 2025. Expect a fastball-slider combo.

- Anthony Watts, RHP, Iowa (Round 14): Another Big Ten pitcher with late-round upside, Watts brings size and a solid fastball. His college track record suggests durability and a chance to contribute in the bullpen.
