Games have begun!
We already looked in to the Cardinals potential need for starting pitching so I am just going to make this snappy**… John Gant will take a start tomorrow. Jack Flaherty, after a shaky first outing, will also be starting in the B game. Kwang Hyun Kim also struggled in his last outing and also had decreased velocity. Miles Mikolas has shoulder stiffness. Adam Wainwright was solid in his spring debut. Carlos Martínez is set to start tonight with Alex Reyes getting a multiple-inning appearance. Jake Odorizzi is still available.
Did I miss anything?
** (Also, if you were wondering, there have been some site issues today — that is why the comments are not showing up. There were some issues getting into the post editor to write, so that is why today’s hunt and peck is a little… brief. Hopefully were are back to normal soon!)
John Gant will start vs. #Nationals on Friday.
Jack Flaherty will start B-game vs. #Astros that afternoon.

John Gant will start tomorrow for the Cardinals in Grapefruit League action, with Jack Flaherty throwing in a B-game. Shildty describes it as a good opportunity for Gant to get a start down here (he’s obviously been open about his desire to be in the St. Louis rotation).

KK says his decreased velo today, while he doesn’t know its cause, has not been a concern previously in spring and is not the reason he’s been on a slightly slower schedule than other #stlcards starters. Said his schedule was just about aiming him toward today’s start.
