A spring training tilt
I had grand intentions of writing a Game Recap, but I don’t see that happening today.
Blue Jays arrive at Roger Dean Stadium as the teams really enter the last week to ten days of spring work. A week from tomorrow will be get-away day for them.
Pallante takes the mound for the Cardinals, amidst growing concerns about how he looks this spring. Velocity has been noticeably down and his mechanics seem seriously out of sync. Many will be watching for signs of improvement. It is spring after all. The process is more important than the results (until it isn’t).
The batting line-up and defensive arrangement is similar to what we could expect against the typical RHP during the regular season.
