ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis Blues, a franchise long known for its iconic Blue Note logo and clean jersey designs, will indeed have a new look next season.
On Tuesday morning, the Blues officially unveiled new primary home and away uniforms featuring modernized versions of the team’s heritage colors, along with a throwback-inspired rebrand of the iconic Blue Note logo.
The newly-announced Blues jerseys and logos are more reminiscent of the club’s original look and one used during the 2017 Winter Classic. The Blue note is a slightly more compact and a brighter shade of blue, largely retro-inspired.
This is the Blues’ first change to their primary logo since 2009 with a nearly identical version dating back to 1998, according to SportsLogoHistory.com. The previous logo used for nearly 30 years featured a sleek, winged blue note outlined in yellow, white and royal blue.
“A classic look for a new era,” the Blues described of the new jerseys and logo. The heritage Blue Note was outlined in yellow and white, whereas the new design adds a lighter blue outline atop the yellow, creating a more modern layered look.
Along with the primary logo and jersey change, the Blues also introduced a few new design concepts that feature the Fleur-de-lis shaped like a music note, a bold “STL” mark that also appears as a musical score, and a horn standing upright that features a Mississippi River layout at the bottom. These designs are all meant to showcase St. Louis history and the impact of the Blues music scene of St. Louis.
While the new home and away jerseys will not be available for purchase until the fall, Blues fans can sign up at stlouisblues.com/email to be notified when they become available for presale as early as September. Some hats and other merchandise will be available online at STLAuthentics.com and the STL Authentics Team Store at the Enterprise Center as soon as Tuesday.
The new jerseys will debut on the draft stage, worn by picks in the upcoming 2025 NHL Draft, which begins Friday. The Blues will officially hit the ice in the new threads this upcoming season.
