ST. LOUIS – Kelly Chase, a well-known St. Louis Blues enforcer of the 1990s, has always been a battler. That’s continued in his current battle with leukemia.
A bone marrow transplant from his brother a few months ago was successful. His cancer is now in remission, but it results in a serious infection, causing Chase to lose 60 pounds.
For a time, his friends and family couldn’t recognize him. So he’s fighting to get his strength back and get his life back to normal.
