NEW RECORD! St. Louis Blues win franchise-best 12th straight game

April 5, 2025 by KTVI - Fox2

ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis Blues get a big win for the history books. The Blues won their 12th consecutive game on Saturday to set a new franchise record for their longest winning streak.

The Blues defeated the Colorado Avalanche, 5-4, on Saturday in front of a sold-out crowd to improve their season-best (and now-franchise-best) winning streak to 12.

The Blues’ historic run began on March 15 and has stretched three weeks up to nearly the end of the regular season, giving St. Louis big-time momentum in a push for playoffs.

The win streak has included the following games…

1) March 15 @ Minnesota Wild (5-1)
2) March 16 vs. Anaheim Ducks (7-2)
3) March 18 @ Nashville Predators (4-1)
4) March 20 vs. Vancouver Canucks (4-3, OT)
5) March 22 vs. Chicago Blackhawks (4-1)
6) March 23 vs. Nashville Predators (4-1)
7) March 25 vs. Montreal Canadiens (6-1)
8) March 27 @ Nashville Predators (3-2)
9) March 29 @ Colorado Avalanche (2-1)
10) April 1 vs. Detroit Red Wings (2-1, OT)
11) April 3 vs. Pittsburgh Penguins (5-4, OT)
12) April 5 vs. Colorado Avalanche (5-4)

Getting that elusive 12th win was far from easy, though it certainly helped that the Blues jumped out to an early 4-0 lead near the game’s midpoint. Zack Bolduc scored twice on the power play, while Robert Thomas enjoyed a four-point night, including a crucial late empty-netter goal that stood as the game-winner.

Pavel Buchnevich and Jake Neighbours also found the back of the net, while defenseman Cam Fowler also delivered with a pair of assists. Jordan Binnington stopped 35 of 39 shots, including many high-pressure chances in the third period, to help seal the Blues’ historic victory.

The Blues improve to 43-28-7 (93 points) in the 2024-25 season and now hold the first Wild Card seed in the Western Conference. The Blues have four games left in the regular season and would guarantee a playoff spot by winning at least three of them.

To close the regular season, it’s a three-game road trip that includes the Winnipeg Jets, Edmonton Oilers and Seattle Kraken next week, then the regular season finale at home on April 15 against the Utah Hockey Club.
