Blues prepare for Game 5 vs. Jets after strong home victories

May 10, 2025 by KTVI - Fox2

ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis Blues are gearing up for Game 5 Wednesday night against the Winnipeg Jets, with the series tied at 2-2 after two consecutive wins at home.

After dropping the first two games in Winnipeg, the Blues bounced back with dominant performances in Games 3 and 4 at Enterprise Center, outscoring the Jets 12-3.

“Getting to the netfront and our defenseman having a shot first attitude you know has really helped us create garbage ugly goals,” said Blues head coach Jim Montgomery after the Game 4 win.

The Blues secured a decisive 5-1 victory over the Jets in Game 4, following a 7-2 win in Game 3. These victories have been attributed to strong team efforts and strategic play.

Defensemen have played a crucial role in controlling play in front of the Jets’ goal, boosting the Blues’ offensive output. Goalie Jordan Binnington has also been solid in net, contributing to the team’s success.

Game 5 is scheduled to start at 8:30 p.m. St. Louis time in Winnipeg. Fans can watch the game on the FanDuel Sports Network Midwest or ESPN, or listen on 101 ESPN or the Blues app.

Regardless of the outcome of the game, Game 6 will take place at Enterprise Center on Friday, although the exact time has yet to be determined.

The Blues aim to maintain their momentum in Winnipeg Wednesday night, hoping to take the lead in the series and continue their playoff journey.
