Jake Neighbours gets into his ninth game tonight.
It’s tough to figure out who to pick for the first goal tonight. Could it be James Neal, who has a proven track record scoring against the Winnipeg Jets? Is it Vladimir Tarasenko, who’s playing like it’s 2018 all over again? Perhaps one of the other new additions to the team will pot one first.
If you’re having trouble choosing, you can always just ask the Blues’ most adorable hockey expert, Barclay. Who did Barc pick for tonight?
We had a ruff time picking who would score first tonight, so we went to someone with the inside scoop.

Why, it’s Ivan Barbashev! If Barbashev is indeed the first goal scorer for the evening, he owes Barclay some treats and head scritches.
The Blues have dropped to second in the Central Division after their loss against the Ducks on Sunday, which shows how damn competitive it’s going to be. The Minnesota Wild sit atop the division, the Jets are a point behind the Blues, and then there’s the Nashville Predators climbing up the standings. The Blues will be playing the Preds on Thursday night.
This is your GameDay Thread. Comment like you want the Central to be this much fun all season.
Let’s do this. Let’s Go Blues.
